Safari has been great at sharing content across devices, but with shared tab groups in macOS Ventura, it can now share content across users for rich collaboration. Within the 'Collaborate' menu, people can be added and removed, and communication can be started. For details about your Mac model, click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac. To do this, users need to click the 'Collaborate' button - a circular icon with the image of a person inside - found in the Safari toolbar. More importantly, users can start messaging or begin a FaceTime call with members of the shared tab group straight from Safari. Everyone that is participating in the shared tab groups will see updates to the tabs in real-time, just like they're working on a shared document. Once a tab group is shared, there becomes room for even more collaboration among friends, family, and coworkers. Both the creator and added people will receive updates on the status of the shared tab groups within the iMessage conversation. Then, click the 'Messages' option, and select the person or group who the shared tab group will be shared with. To start sharing, move the cursor to the name of the shared tab group in the sidebar. If users have these settings enabled, they can quickly send and accept shared tab group invites. In order to share tab groups in Safari, users need to have an Apple ID, have Safari turned on in iCloud settings, and protect their account with two-factor authentication. However, the feature becomes even more useful in macOS Ventura due to the ability to share these groups with friends, family, and coworkers. Additionally, if a user is already within a tab group, they can click on the tab group's name to quickly switch between other groups. This will show the current tab groups and the start page. To create a tab group, users can click on the sidebar to the right of the window management buttons. They are completely customizable and can appear on multiple devices, synced through iCloud. For example, someone could make different tab groups for their personal web browsing, professional internet use, and schoolwork. Tab groups, as explained on the Apple Support page, are great for compartmentalizing different parts of a user's life and keeping those sectors organized.
